Sorting Scraps

Wow!! Scraps from Kim. I am trying to organize all these little bursts of color into stacks and get them into my new storage cabinet. I love scrap quilting. A necessary step before going back to sew.

Sharon's Pansy Park Round 1 by me

Sharon wanted a Southwestern theme to her Round Robin small group project with Cover Girls. I wanted to extend blue half square triangle and give image of block turned on point. I purchased a burnt orange fabric at Country Sampler and expanded to 18 inches finished. I like how it turned out and now it goes to Mary at June meeting.

Story Time Stars by Bonnie Hunter

I am getting ready for another Great Nephew in July. I am using scraps to make this with a ocean theme. I will have to get back to D1 black and white quilt. I am in the doghouse for other projects getting ahead of it. I will try to lay it out tomorrow.

Cleaning my room

I finally am back up and running. I got these 2 cabinets at Walmart and I think it will help a lot with my scrap sorting. I can finally get back to my quilting. Love the quirky picture on the wall. Paint by Number for me age 10. Oh how simple our entertainment used to be.

Round Robin

This is first post with my blog up and running. I am really excited and hope to learn more about enhancing my blog. I like the idea of tracking my quilt thoughts and projects. I am a member of Cover Girls small group and this is my center block. I am doing round one of Sharon's block and we cannot see our own quilt until all 3 rounds are done. The only thing I can say is that it will definitely have southwestern theme.
